Inslee statement on Sabah Randhawa, new president of Western Washington University

OLYMPIA— Gov. Jay Inslee issued the following statement today on Sabah Randhawa, new president of Western Washington University.

“Trudi and I welcome Sabah Randhawa to Washington state and the beautiful city of Bellingham. I am pleased that Western Washington University has found a proven leader who is committed to closing the achievement gap, promoting diversity and inclusion for all students.

“Sabah will build upon the valuable work already being done at Western. WWU is consistently recognized for its academic achievements, its commitment to health and wellness, and is named one of the greenest campuses in the nation.

“I look forward to working with Sabah to ensure that Western continues to be a place of academic excellence and innovation for students, faculty and staff.“
