Student Achievement Council, Washington

Proposes goals for increasing educational attainment, the resources to support those goals, and the improvements and innovations to help meet the goals. The Council also advocates for increased commitment and resources for higher education and to link secondary and postsecondary education and training including the transition to careers. Develops a two year strategic action plan and ten-year roadmap, conducts systems reviews to approve the change in mission of an institution, facilitating the development and expansion of innovative practices, develops policy recommendations based upon data, collaborates with other organizations to set minimum college admission standards and helps students prepare for and access postsecondary education- including transitions, financial aid programs, and private degree institutions.
