Psychology, Examining Board of

Examines candidates for licensure or registration and investigates charges of unsafe conditions or unprofessional conduct. The Board also conducts disciplinary hearings and recommends and adopts rules to regulations to promote safety, protection, and welfare of the public. The Board accomplishes this through a variety of activities working with The Department of Health, Health Systems Quality Assurance division.

Statutory Term Limits
Member Requirements: Nine psychologists licensed to practice in state at least three years prior to appointment; two members of the general public who have neither participated in any commercial or professional field related to psychology nor have any household member who has so participated. Each psychologist member of the board shall have actively practiced psychology in the state of Washington prior to appointment.
