Governor Inslee appoints Suzan Clark to Clark County Superior Court

Governor Jay Inslee today announced his appointment of Suzan Clark to Clark County Superior Court.

Clark, who is President of the Clark County Bar Association, has served as a pro tem commissioner since 1999 and currently runs her own practice with an emphasis on criminal defense, family law and civil and criminal appeals. She has significant trial experience and served for six years as a prosecutor. Clark was rated “Exceptionally Well Qualified” by Washington Women Lawyers and finished first in three of the four rating categories in the Clark County Bar poll.

“Suzan is widely recognized an exceptionally qualified and experienced trial attorney as well as her experience presiding over a wide range of cases,” Inslee said. “I know she’ll be a great addition to the bench.”

Clark is replacing Judge Diane Woolard who announced earlier this year she is retiring. The appointment is effective May 13.
