Gov. Jay Inslee today announced that he is appointing John Ruhl, a member of Ryan, Swanson & Cleveland PLLC in Seattle, to King County Superior Court.
Ruhl has more than 30 years of legal experience and is a past president of the King County Bar Association, as well as founding president and past Board member for the Dispute Resolution Center of King County. Ruhl was also instrumental in helping to found “VotingforJudges.org,” a nonpartisan website designed to provide voters with more information about candidates for judicial office.
“John has a sterling reputation in the legal community and is widely recognized by his peers for his experience and leadership,” said Gov. Jay Inslee. “I’m confident John will be an outstanding addition to the bench.”
Ruhl is replacing retiring Judge Jay White, who retired on February 28th. Ruhl’s term is effective April 1, 2014.
