Inslee appoints David S. Mann to Division I Court of Appeals

OLYMPIA – Gov. Jay Inslee today appointed David S. Mann to the Division I Court of Appeals which covers King, Snohomish, Island, San Juan, Skagit and Whatcom counties. Mann is a partner at Gendler & Mann, LLP in Seattle and served as a partner and attorney at Bricklin & Gendler, LLP. His law career spans more than two decades with extensive experience in environmental and land use litigation and appeals.

“David has focused on protecting and enhancing the quality of life and the environment for all Washingtonians. He has worked with regional, state and local citizens groups, tribes, and property owners,” Inslee said. “He will be an excellent addition to the Court of Appeals.”

Mann has served on the board of directors, and as president, of the Washington Environmental Council, the Northwest Fund for the Environment and the Marymoor Velodrome Association. He has been named “Washington Super Lawyer” by Washington Law & Politics magazine for the past 10 years.

He received his J.D. from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College with a certificate in environmental law.

Mann replaces Judge Linda Lau who has served as a judge for more than 20 years. His appointment is effective later this summer.
