OLYMPIA – Gov. Jay Inslee today named Inger Brinck director of Results Washington, Inslee’s initiative to make state government more effective. Launched in 2013, Results Washington tracks and works with agencies and partners on nearly 200 metrics related to education, the economy, the environment, health, safety and government effectiveness. More than half those measures are on track to meet or beat targets.
Brinck currently serves as senior performance analyst in the Office of the Controller for the City and County of San Francisco, where she co-developed a citywide Lean process improvement program that trained more than 200 employees in Lean methods and improved the city’s processes. She has served in management and leadership roles at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, the Women’s Foundation of California and the Advancement Project, a national civil rights organization. Brinck began her career supporting President Clinton’s National Advisory Council on Ending Violence Against Women. She replaces Rich Roesler, who has served as acting director since August. Roesler will stay on as communications director.
“Inger has extensive experience in improving organizational performance and a strong commitment to continuously improving state government,” Inslee said. “Results Washington has already had a tremendous impact, and I look forward to working with Inger to help move it to the next stage. I would like to thank Rich for stepping into the role as acting director. I greatly appreciate his service and I know that he and Inger will make a great team.”
Brinck has a master’s degree in economics from Claremont Graduate Institute and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mary Washington College.
Her first day on the job will be May 30.
