Gov. Jay Inslee today updated the wildfire state of emergency proclamation. The update extends the driver hours rules of service suspension.
The prior order suspended the driver hours of service rules until 11:59 PM on September 14. This order extends the suspension until 11:59 PM on September 30 in order to support continued firefighting efforts. The burn ban and declaration of a wildfire emergency remain in place.
This proclamation is effective immediately.
