Trick-or-treaters invited to Ghostbusters themed Halloween at the Capitol

Story Body

OLYMPIA - Due to unconfirmed reports of focused, non-terminal, repeating phantasms and class-five full-roaming vapors, Gov. Jay Inslee and First Lady Trudi Inslee have brought in a team of Ghostbusters for this year’s trick-or-treaters at the Executive Residence.

“Thanks to my administration’s long-held stance on bustin’ ghosts, slimings are at a record low,” Inslee said. “If there’s something strange in the Capitol Campus neighborhood, Trudi and I will be ready for calls this Halloween.”

On Monday, Oct. 31, the Inslees will hand out Washington state chocolates and apples at the Executive Residence. Gatekeepers and keymasters from the Washington State Patrol will open doors to trick-or-treaters at 6 p.m.

No state funds are used for the decorations and candy, and crossing the streams will not be permitted.

When: Monday, October 31 from 6 to 7:30 PM

Where: Executive Residence, Capitol Campus (map)
