"This morning Washingtonians woke up to the news that health care as we know it is safe for another day. It is now time for Democrats and Republicans to work together on bipartisan improvements to the nation’s health care system, and to reject efforts to sabotage the Affordable Care Act, both in the federal government and in the individual states.
"This victory would not have been possible without the thousands of people who made their voices heard, and the resolve of Sens. Murray and Cantwell and their tireless work for the people of Washington state. I also want to thank Sens. Collins, McCain, and Murkowski for doing the right thing not just on behalf of their states, but the entire country."
