Gov. Jay Inslee today released the following statement about the death of Doug Walker, a well-known philanthropic leader, outdoor enthusiast and conservation advocate. Inslee appointed Walker to serve asco-chair of his Blue Ribbon Task Force on Parks and Outdoor Recreation.
“Doug's infectious joy at even a mention or thought of the Cascades has always been an inspiration to me and all who knew him. He is part of our mountains now. We will make sure his spirit of loving the beautiful wild places of Washington state remains strong.”
